Our friendly and knowledgeable reception staff consists of eight full- and part-time employees who have a combined total of over 75 years of experience as veterinary receptionists. They are generally the first people you will encounter upon entering our practice. They are responsible for answering your phone calls, scheduling appointments, assisting with filling patients’ medications, making follow-up and reminder phone calls, and providing client education. They are also an important liaison between our clients and our doctors as they are able to relay questions and information in a timely and efficient manner. They have many “behind the scenes” responsibilities and are an invaluable part of our clinic team.
Our nursing staff consists of ten full- and part-time veterinary technicians, including 3 certified technicians, who have a combined total of over 100 years of technical experience. You will most often see these technicians assisting the doctor in the exam room with your pet, but this is only a small part of what they do. Technicians provide in-depth nursing care to hospitalized patients, obtain blood, urine, and other samples for laboratory testing, and perform diagnostic procedures such as radiography and microscopic examinations of skin, ear, and fecal samples. During surgical procedures, they regulate anesthesia and are responsible for monitoring surgical patients from induction of anesthesia to recovery. Because they have such a broad range of responsibilities, they are an integral part of our daily operation.
